If a child is being defiant to rules, verbally and/or physically aggressive, isolating themselves from friends and family, consuming drugs or alcohol, or showing signs of self harm, they may be suffering with a potentially serious mental health condition. Most teens experience sudden and dramatic physical, emotional and social chances that can leave them particularly vulnerable to developing behavioral and mental health conditions. Ignoring an adolescent's declining mental health condition can have long-lasting negative psychological effects that can affect their development worsen into adulthood.
IMAGINE offers extended outpatient treatment (PHP Et 10P) for teens 12 to 17 years old. It is a full-day program that addresses both mental health and substance abuse problems in a safe and supportive environment.
Maximum 30 hours per week (5 days/week, 6 hrs/day).
Program length determined by the child's specific case and needs. We'll also provide discharge planning to help them reintegrate back into the community and schooling system.

Groups, Counseling a Care
Psychiatric & Nursing Care
All teens will receive a minimum of 2 sessions weekly with our facility psychiatrist and crisis intervention on an as needed basis. Based on an initial psychiatric evaluation, recommendations for medications will be given. Onsite nursing care will be available every day to address their medical needs and to assist with medication management.
Mental Health Counseling & Intervention
Ashwood Recovery is licensed in the state of Idaho with NCQA credentialed providers that deliver teen mental health and substance use focused groups, hold individualized sessions focused on youth mental health treatment, and work closely with the facility psychiatrist.
We recommend that all teens participate in group therapy sessions as discussed with their primary counselor.
Family Healing Group
Any family member of a teen who participates in an Imagine program can attend our weekly Family Healing Group. The Family Healing Group is intended to give participants the coping tools necessary to assist their loved one as they work through their behavioral challenges. It also provides external support to family members who have already been affected by the teen’s mental health and substance use disorder.

Paying For Treatment
The cost of treatment at Imagine is different for everyone. Every teen that enters the Imagine Adolescent Day Treatment Program has a unique background and requires an individualized plan that addresses their specific mental health, medical, schooling and therapeutic needs.
